  1. My husband died last year at 76 years old, im 55 years old now,and im dissabled after the approval of my claim can i file again for dissabled benifit?

    1. If you are disabled you can file to collect social security disability payments. When you reach retirement age, those benefits change to social security retirement benefits. Make sure that social security people know that you are a widow, so that they can switch you over to widow’s retirement benefits at any point that those benefits exceed your social security disability payment.
