This workshop is held the
SECOND SATURDAY of each month

This workshop is designed to help women take the next step, no matter where they are in the process of untying the knot.

Second Saturday deals with the legal, financial, family and personal issues of divorce in a logical, yet compassionate way. With the guidance of trained professionals, workshop participants gain greater understanding of the confusing divorce process.

9:45-10:45 - Family Issues

  • Dealing with a hostile spouse
  • Helping your family cope with the stress of divorce
  • Rebuilding self esteem

10:45-11:45 - Financial Issues

Presented by a financial advisor

  • Preparing for divorce
  • Dividing property
  • The tax consequence of divorce

11:45-12:00 - Questions & Answers

12:00 - Break

12:15-1:00 Avoiding Divorce Court

Presented by a family law mediator

  • Mediated divorce
  • Short-form divorce

$60 can buy you less than 15 minutes with most divorce attorneys!

However if you spend it at Miracosta College (where the entire sum will go to scholarships and the college – speakers donate their time) it will buy you 4 hours with experienced divorce attorneys providing you with information you will need if you are considering or involved in a divorce.
