Your Money Club class at Mira Costa College is led by a qualified instructor hand-picked by the non-profit Women’s Institute for Financial Education (

Each month we tackle a variety of important and interesting financial issues. With the knowledge and support we provide, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement a financial plan to help you to live life on your own terms.

You are welcome to drop in at the beginning of the semester or join us any time during the year! The more classes you attend the more you will learn… we promise!

Richard Loth:
Richard has more than three decades of international experience in banking (Citibank, Industrial National Bank, and Bank of Montreal), corporate financial consulting, and non-profit development assistance programs. During the past 12 years, he has been a registered investment adviser and a published author of books and publications on investing. Currently, he devotes his professional activities to educational endeavors, writing and lecturing, aimed at helping individual investors improve their investing know-how.

About Your Instructors:

Shelley Murasko, MBA, Candidate for CFP, with over four years of teaching within the Women’s Institute of Financial Education.

Shelley is assisted by Nadia Shokohi, PhD, MD, a Wealth Manager and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst. Nadia works with women in transition and designs and manages retirement plans. She also volunteers at Second Saturday in San Diego and Denver.

Candace Bahr, CDFA, CEA, Co-founder of the nonprofit Women’s Institute for Financial Education, who co-wrote the book It’s More Than Money– It’s Your Life! The New Money Club for Women.
